Vinland Saga Episode 10
Vinland Saga Season 2 has been confirmed to run for 24 episodes in total. There has been no word on whether or not there will be a break at some point in the second season, but other anime in the past have gone on hiatus for a number of weeks around halfway through a run this long.
Vinland Saga season 2 episode 10 begins with Einar and Thorfinn chopping down trees and taking turns as they try to cut down a particularly thick one. The duo successfully cut the tree, which is the last of what they have to clear for their freedom. It would seem that some time has passed since the previous episodes, where the two still had a sizable amount of forest to clear.
Vinland Saga season 2 episode 10 then sees Canute holding and staring at his crown when there is a knock on the door. A servant enters, who was instructed by Estrid to bring him something to drink, raising his suspicions and causing him to ask where it came from. The servant questions what he means by this, but Canute simply turns her away.
It's never stated outright, but it's easy to see that Thorfinn has begun to dream of Vinland, which was always more of an idea than a place, even in Leif Erikson's stories. It's a land of peace and plenty that represents everything the frigid and bloody world of the Vikings is not. With the arrival of Prince Canute and the introduction of Thorkell pushing the war to the forefront of the narrative, this melancholy dream sequence is a welcome reminder of the beating heart that keeps Vinland Saga going, this story of a young boy who got thrust into a world of murder and revenge, and how he might yet find his way back home to his family and a better life. It's standard but effective; young Thorfinn obliviously sings of his happiness, but we know it's only a fantasy, and Thors has to stop and remind his wayward son of what he's giving up with every passing day he spends focused on revenge. I don't know if it's more effective than the similar scene of Thorfinn having a vision of his father that we got a couple of weeks back, but the vivid background art and haunting score give this episode's first act a distinctive flavor of its own.
Vinland Saga Season 1 concluded with Thorfinn attacking and cutting Canute in distress and despair, but Canute takes charge and claims command of the Viking army and the rule of England. Thorfinn is dragged away, and as he drops his knife in the chaos, his erstwhile journey flashes in the blade's reflection. The episode ends with shots of several previously unseen characters in various locations. Vinland Saga season 2 will adapt the Farm Arc or Ketil's Farm Arc of the manga.

He grew up to be a warrior without morals or empathy. He seeks out tough opponents in battle, desiring to experience the excitement of a fight to the end. He is passionate about challenging and engaging in combat with formidable opponents, and he repeatedly attempts to battle Thorfinn during the Baltic Sea War saga.
The second season of Vinland Saga will follow a weekly release schedule, like all the other anime shows, and new episodes will release every week on Tuesday. The season is a 2-cour anime season, meaning that there are 24 episodes in this season.
Regarding broadcasting information in Japan, new episodes of the Vinland Saga season 2 will be first broadcast on Japanese television networks such as TOKYO MX, BS11, and Gifu Broadcasting. The episodes will then premiere on AT-X at 8 pm on the same day.
Recently, the official Twitter page for Vinland Saga reached out with an update on its next new episodes. As it turns out, the anime will be postponing episode ten until September 15 due to the incoming typhoon headed for Japan.
The tenth episode marks an official new chapter for both crucial characters in Vinland Saga, Thorfinn and King Canute. It shows the real development of the two characters and proves how far they have grown and changed from what they used to be.
What is so beautiful about this episode is the chance to see the two sides of the same coin in one story sequence. Thorfinn and Canute are total polar opposites, and this episode brings the lead-up to that kind of relationship between them. When the first season of this series was airing, nobody probably had any prediction that the two young characters would end up being the centers of the story while having a progressive personality change in the sequel.
Vinland Saga Season 2 Episode 10 will get released on local channels in Japan on Tuesday, March 14, 2023, at 12:30 AM. Crunchyroll and Netflix will simulcast the episode Internationally, following the below timings:

The episode begins with Einar and Thorfinn cutting a big tree with an axe. It is then revealed that this is the last tree in the field, and now they have cleared it completely for farming. It is a great victory. We also learned that three years had passed since the moment Einar arrived at the farm, and they started clearing the field. Both Einar and Thorfinn began as mere strangers, working their minds away at the notion that now they were slaves, which they would probably be for the rest of their lives.
The second half of the episode starts on a boat going somewhere. Inside the main chamber, we see a man tired, with a towel over his head. This is Canute, King of England. He is taking a journey to see his brother, King Harald. Both Canute and Harald are the sons of the late King Sweyn, who was killed long ago by decapitation. Canute is far from being the womanly boy we saw in season one. He now acts kingly enough, as we saw a couple of episodes ago, and he is completely cold to anything that happens around him.
At this moment, the cursed head appears, revealing what Canute is thinking. Canute is visiting the dying bed of his brother, the same bed he put him in, as he is secretly the one who has been poisoning his brother. The head reveals that Canute does this only for ambition, not for peace or anything else. Canute goes back to his chambers and refuses to eat. The head confirms he is afraid of being poisoned, as he is a poisoner himself. Canute makes peace with the fact that to construct his utopia, he will need to make sacrifices. The episode ends with Canute all alone, staring at the moon.
